The Sky Smells Of Tobacco

A strange day that definitely affected my Inktober (day 16) drawing plans. Low light levels caused by, I found out later, Sahara dust and Portugal Forest fire smoke dragged into the atmosphere by the tail end of Storm Ophilia. The day seemed to start off misty and got darker from there on. When the sun did break through it was an orange red orb creating a queasy palette for the eyes.

There was a funny smell in the air too, whether this was psychosomatic or someone smoking WW2 grade cigarettes in the adjoining allotment I can't decide.
