John Welding is an artist and illustrator with experience in drawing for comics, books, graphic design, theatre and computer games. He lives and works in a coal yard in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and these days he likes to go under the banner 'illustrator of stories'. His personal work is autobiographical, although he regularly collaborates with writers and storytellers on imaginative fiction. Recent work has seen him exploring the fantastical side of his vivid recurring dreams and documenting sites of interest in Wakefield with his semi-autobiographical comic strips.
